Jimmie J. Snider was born on March 14th, 1932 in Gallatin, Missouri. He passed away peacefully on February 21st, 2019 in Ft. Collins, CO.
Jimmie was married for 49 years to Katherine Arlene Snider. He had four children and one step-son. Jimmie Dwight Snider, Randall Snider (Sharon) of Severence, CO, Elmer Snider (Jewell) of Colorado Springs, CO, Belinda Willford (Rusty) of LaPorte, CO, Shane Snider (Lisa) of Cleveland, TX. Grandchildren: Kay Marie, Nick, Royce, Jennifer, Brandi, Tasha, Alexis, JoAnn, Bobbie, and Roy. 16 Great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, and grandson James Snider.
He joined the Marine Corp at 17 and served 10 years including time served in the Korean Conflict.
He moved to Colorado in 1963 to become a Master plumber/pipe fitter retiring from that trade at 65. He volunteered at the Disabled American Veteran's association for many years while holding office at the State and National level.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and spending time with his family. He loved a 'good old' Western movie or book!
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans association (DAV.org)
