Jesse Fred Abel

Jesse Fred Abel, 85, of Olney Springs, CO, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Fred was born in Las Animas, Colorado on November 9, 1938, a son of the late Mary J. (Fletcher) and Paul Alfred Abel. He was the spouse of Delta Louise (McMaster) Abel, they were married on June 9, 1962 in Denver, CO.
Fred was a member of Ordway Baptist Church, Ordway, CO.
Fred worked as a machinist with the Denver Mint for many years. Fred and Louise moved down to Ordway 24 years ago.
He is survived by: Son Gary Abel of Lenexa, KS; Sister Pauline Webber, of Dacona, CO.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents his wife Louise, and sister Margaret Scheidegger.
Viewing will be held from 10 am - 11 am, Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at the Ordway Baptist Church with a private interment to follow at the Valley View Cemetery in Ordway. The memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024 at the Ordway Baptist Church with Rev. Don Parker officiating. A reception will follow the memorial service.
