Jerry Dean Lee, 52, of Laramie passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 6, 1960 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Dean and Alberta Lee Williams. Jerry graduated from Poudre High School. He won the High School Team Roping State Championship in 1978. He was the Rookie Steer Roping Champion in 1994. Mr. Lee lived in Cheyenne for 10 years. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the Rodeo. He competed in the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo for Steer Roping 2 years. He worked the Cheyenne rodeo for 10 years in Chute 9, sorting cattle. Jerry was a Wyoming Brand Inspector for a few years; working in Cheyenne and Rock River area. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Laramie and will be sorely missed by all of his family and many friends. He married Pamela Becker in 1980 in Fort Collins; they later divorced but remained friends. Jerry is survived by his mother, Alberta Lee of Fort Collins, CO; his brother, Tom Lee of Laramie, WY; his sister, Diana Morris and husband Bill of Butte, MT; his special niece Nadean Morris of Butte, MT; and his special nephews, Sam and Wyatt Lee of Laramie, WY; and his numerous other relatives. He is also survived by his special friend, Jeannie Kincaid of Cheyenne, WY. He is preceded in death by his father, Dean.
A Celebration of Jerry's Life was held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 126 Lyons Laramie, WY. A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Jerry's name.
