Dr. Jerry Darnell Holder, 82, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away peacefully on May 16, 2024, after a sudden decline in his health.
Jerry was born on March 31, 1942, to Arthur and Dorothy Holder in National City, California.

He was raised on his family farm in Chino, California. This past January, he was able to stay and visit with his brother and sister-in-law at the family farm, which brought back many cherished memories.
Jerry studied pharmaceutical at the University of California – San Francisco and graduated in June 1967 with his doctorate degree in pharmacy.

In 1968 love began to blossom. Daily, he would order drugs for the pharmacy from Amfac Drug Supply and made sure to speak with Barbara.

In October of 1969 he married the love of his life Barbara Jean Beesley. Jerry unselfishly welcomed a family of three young kids and married Barbara and provided a loving and prosperous life for our family. They resided in Fremont, California.

In 2001 they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado and enjoyed the wonderful mountains and everything Colorado had to offer. Jerry enjoyed hiking and loved to work in his yard. He had a passion for cacti, western antiques, and collectibles. He collected antique hammers, cow bells and furniture to say the least.
Jerry and Barbara were highly active in their grandchildren's lives, participating in basketball/football tournaments, and booster clubs. They participated in granddaughters various in/out of state softball tournaments. He was the most unselfish and giving person.
Jerry worked has a pharmacist for well over 44 years. Jerry's expertise as a seasoned professional was apparent and he developed high levels of trust with his colleagues, and his family and friends.
He then developed dementia and struggled with this disease for over 10 years. We are all so thankful God relieved him of this disease and he is with his wife and family in heaven.

Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memories his brother Terry (Lilliam) Holder, his daughter, Susan (James) Lucero, and sons Michael Beesley and Mitchell Weltback, his grandchildren, Randy (Haleigh) Gonzalez, Corinna (Courtney) Gonzalez, Amanda Warners, and his great-granddaughter Sierra Gonzalez. Other family members who he deeply cherished include his step-grandchildren Vanessa and Brenda Lucero, Sara (Aaron) Medina, his niece Rachelle Beesley, and nephews Steve Beesley and Ron Beesley and countless cousins.
We are incredibly grateful to the dozens of healthcare professionals that took care of Jerry over the years and the friends who provided immeasurable support to our family.
