Jerry Ewaldt Bader was born in Grand Island, Neb., to Norman E. Bader and Leona Bader Gilster Doescher. He lived in Wisner, Neb., as a child and graduated from Wisner High School in 1953. He served in the US Army and graduated from Wartburg College in Iowa in 1966. He retired in 1993 from Federal Service with the Department of the Treasury. Mr. Bader died September 23, 2009 as an in-home hospice patient in Fort Collins. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Cory Small of McDonough, Ga.; son Brad Bader of Taylorsville, Utah; son, Justin Bader and wife, Melissa of Denver; and six grandchildren. Surviving also is twin brother, Jerome Bader of Loveland; sister Lynette and brother-in-law Alan Risor of Wisner, Neb.; sister, Shirley Gilster of Omaha, Neb.; and brother-in-law Robert Anderson of Greeley. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Lungren Bader; his mother, Leona; and sister, Marilyn Anderson. A Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The family invites everyone to stay for a reception immediately following the service.
