Jennifer Joy Trippel, age 79, of Fort Collins, CO passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026.
Jennifer was born, Jennifer Joy Smith, on October 25, 1946 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. She grew up outside of Loveland, Colorado, and spent much of her youth living along the Big Thompson River in the Big Thompson Canyon, with her 6 siblings – 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
She graduated from Loveland High School in 1964. She met the love of her life, William, and they married shortly after graduation when she was 17. They were married for over 60 years.
She worked at CSU for many years, did some substitute teaching over the years, sold copper, and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her 2 daughters, Sandy and Theresa.
Her main mission in life was to share the gospel with others in hopes of ensuring their eternal salvation.
Jennifer is survived by her sister, Vera, daughter Theresa, grandson Chad (CJ), and granddaughter Sadie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beula Smith, husband, William, and daughter Sandy.
A visitation service will be held from 10 am to noon, Monday, September 14, 2026, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 West Olive St, Fort Collins, CO. A private family interment will be held.
