Jenette spent the first twelve years of her life near Little Rock, Arkansas in the small town of Gethsemane (pronounced Gashy-main) and Pine Bluff. Many hours were spent picking and chopping cotton, hoeing soy beans and sorghum. She learned how to swim in the "Big Muddy" and Bayou.
She was an eyewitness to racial bigotry and cruelty (her Dad and uncles "wore the hood"). Moving to Colorado in 1958, she was amazed by the Rocky Mountains; so different from the Smokies.
Jenette had six children: Two died prematurely and two survived: Cheri Lyn and Jody
To her knowledge, she has no grandchildren.
In 1998 she was married to Roland August Uber Junior.
She had three previous husbands:
Ronald G. Miller
John David Giesing
Peter (Bedros) Nazaretian.
They are all deceased or forgotten.
Husband, Roland (aka Junior), and his family gave her joy and healed her heart.
As she wanted, her body will be donated to the State Anatomical Society. Any visitation and/or memorial service will be determined by Roland and Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Real cards (no emails, please) can be sent to Roland in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
A band of angels surrounded Jenette when she died and carried her home to her mother and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rejoice for she lives in Him. Amen!
Requiem:
You cannot prevent
The birds of Sorrow
Passing over your head;
You can prevent them
Building nests in your hair.
