Jeffrey Wayne Specht was born in Riverside, CA on August 24, 1956 to Barbara and Wayne Specht and passed away at his home on May 3, 2024. He grew up in Southern California and resided there until 2016 when he relocated to Colorado to be with the love of his life, LeAnn. They married in 2019.
Jeff grew up spending time at Lake Havasu with his family and that led to his love for all things boats and lakes, and he would later have his own vacation home at Lake Mead for over 25 years. In addition to boating, he also grew up racing dirt bikes and surfing and skiing. He loved baseball and basketball (watching mainly)….and oh how he loved music! Jeff was always up for a cold beer or a glass of wine and a concert…he was always one to jump at the chance to have a good time!!!
Jeff's first job, as it is for many young people, was a grocery store but for him it would be the start of a lifelong career and he would go on to be a co-owner of a large retail merchandising company that serviced grocery and retail chains and he led the firm in their sales and marketing efforts. He was the consummate businessman!
Jeff had a valiant battle with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease and he and LeAnn made the most of life as they could during that time with traveling to Hawaii and Mexico several times and going on two cruises as well as spending time in Arizona and California with family and friends. They squeezed in as much of his dreams to travel during retirement as they could!
In addition to his wife and Mother, Jeff is survived by his three bonus daughters (and amazing care givers during this time in his life): Rachel (grandson Carson who he shared a special bond with), Allyson and Natalie Nowak. His brother Jerry and Wife Vicky and sister Cindi and her husband Tony as well as two nephews and a niece. He has a son Kyle and daughter Krysti (and raising them was the highlight of his life and he missed them terribly in these last years). Jeff loved his friends and had a few special people that were in his life for 40+ years. He was proceeded in death by his father.
LeAnn will forever miss his huge smile and big laugh, listening to music with him for hours on end, going for long walks and just quiet nights sitting close on the patio or couch.
A Celebration of Jeff's Life will be held on June 21, 2024 in Meadview, Arizona.
