Jeannine Carol Knox Salisbury, 83, of Fort Collins, passed away January 19, 2017.

She was born April 22, 1933 in Denver, CO to Henry and Anna Knox. They lived in Longmont until her father died. Her mother remarried and they moved to Timnath. She graduated from Timnath High School. She married Richard Frank Salisbury on March 4, 1951. He left soon after for boot camp and then on to Korea. She had their daughter while he was overseas.

She was a housewife and mother for many years but eventually went to work at CSU in the typing pool and worked her way up to the Payroll Department where she retired 20+ years later.

She was a talented singer, taking singing lessons for many years. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She frequently sang at church.

She was an active member of her church when she was able. She began painting later in life, painting her cat and many landscape scenes.

Despite suffering from Alzheimer's the past few years she always had a big smile for everyone.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise (Gerald) Martin of Ft. Collins; grandchildren, Katrina Martin of Vermont and Brett (Wendy) Martin of Castle Rock; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Salisbury; parents, Henry and Anna (Adler) Knox; siblings, Helen Schlagel and Raymond Knox.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.

Donations may be made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund or Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapter, 121 W. Olive, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
