Jeanne Lynn Hopkins, 56, left us on December 3, 2014, after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma two years ago. She passed away with her family at her side at Rehab and Nursing Center of the Rockies.
Jeanne was born June 4, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska. She married directly after high school and had two boys. After living in several western Nebraska towns, she divorced and moved back to Omaha. She worked in the restaurant industry every since high school which eventually brought her out to Colorado. Jeanne loved living in Colorado near her younger son and his wife. Her older son soon moved from Omaha to join them in Fort Collins. Jeanne was a very devoted mother.
Her interest included family, traveling, reading, biking, running, gardening, cross country skiing, visiting vineyards and breweries. Her travels included snorkeling in La Jolla, California, East coast with her mother, several sister bonding trips and even traveling to Europe on her own, and again with her sons and daughter-in-law.
Jeanne always had a smile on her face due to her love of life and was always active. She also was a big believer in family traditions.
Jeanne is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Shawn, Brian and wife, Lisa, granddaughter Mallorie; her stepfather and mother, Mike and Ann Sheridan; sisters Cindy and Mary, and their husbands; nephew Jerry; nieces Shannon, Julie, Mandy, Makayla, Kelsey and Emmy; great nieces and great nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by her father, Gene Konvalin and brother, Scott Konvalin.
