Jeanne Butler passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021 at the age of 99. She grew up in the Lancaster PA area, the oldest of three daughters. After high school, Jeanne attended the Peabody Academy in Baltimore to study vocal music. It was in Baltimore that she met Harry Butler on a blind date arranged by his roommate, and they were married in 1945. They loved to travel and saw much of the U.S. along with China, Russia, Spain and England. They raised three children in Cumberland MD – David (Sandy), Chris (Patty), and Debbie (Ted Davis). Harry retired from his dental practice in 1983 and they moved to Arizona to play golf and bridge almost daily. Jeanne moved to Fort Collins 15 years ago to head up 4 generations of family living here. She had a great love of classical music and opera, reading good books, winning at bingo, and a glass of scotch before dinner. She is survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. The family sends their thanks to all of the staff at The Winslow and New Mercer Commons for the excellent living she enjoyed here in Fort Collins.
