Jeanene Engle (affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Manana") passed away peacefully on June 6, 2020 in her home in Fort Collins, CO surrounded by family and her two pets, Patti and Babee.
Jeanene was born at home in Simpson County in rural Mississippi in the early summer of 1939. She nearly did not survive her birth, but luckily a family doctor was present along with an aunt who assisted in the home birth. Jeanene was the oldest of six children, born to Grover Laverne "Bud" and Anna Lou Brewer.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy Brewer. She is survived by four siblings, Billie Brewer Smith (John Mack), Kirby Brewer (Patsy), Mickey Brewer (Teresa), and Judy Brewer Clyburn (Randy), two sons Michael and Scott (Rebecca), three step-children, as well as 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and a cast of thousands who loved her dearly.
She was married to John Engle of Jonesville, Michigan for 42 years, who spoiled her rotten all 42 of those years.
She was a true Southern Belle even after leaving south Mississippi. She enjoyed traveling and watching football with her husband, hosting parties at her lovely home, and entertaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
