Listen to Obituary
Jay Alan Jacoby—beloved brother, uncle, father, and friend—was born on March 19, 1955, and passed away on May 2, 2026, after bravely battling ongoing health issues.

A believer, an artist, an optimist, and a true lover of life, Jay brought fun, love, and joy wherever he went. He lived life in his own vibrant, unmistakable way, and we're certain he's smiling down on us now and shining bright into the night. He will be deeply missed.

Jay embraced adventure from an early age. As a child, he loved baseball and basketball; as an adult, he found joy in river rafting, traveling, camping, and hiking in the mountains. His interests were as wide and colorful as his spirit—painting, drawing, web design, yoga, time in nature, and exploring the spiritual side of life.

He worked for several newspapers before launching his own web-design businesses, and he was especially honored to create the 50th reunion website for his Westside High School Class of '73.

Jay is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lila Jacoby. He is survived by his sisters Robin Hellwig, Shari (Bill) Thorson, and Lori (Dennis) Rochford, along with many nieces and nephews who adored him.

As Jay's motto: "Why whisper when you can howl!"

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
