Janet Macpherson

Janet Macpherson passed away peacefully November 5, 2011, surrounded by her family; she was 69 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Hilda Powers and her brother, Paul Powers. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Macpherson of Loveland, her sisters, Louise Powers-Ackley of Durango and Ruth Powers of Laporte, and her former husband and friend, Peter Macpherson of Fort Collins. Janet was born in New York City and travelled west after college, eventually settling in Colorado. She had many passions, including beekeeping, quilting, reading, her beloved dog, Bliss, and pursuing her spiritual growth. A celebration of her life will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins on Tuesday, November 15 at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Janet is greatly missed by her family and everyone whose hearts she touched.
