Janet Lee Barker passed away December 28, 2020. She was born in Sterling, Colorado on February 09, 1955 to Francis and Geraldine Elliott. Janet is survived by her husband Bradley Barker, four sisters, three step children and five step grandchildren.
After graduating from Sterling High School, Janet received an Associate's Degree from Northeastern Junior College. While working at Teledyne, Janet attended Regis University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree. She graduated Magna Cum Laude. She served on the board of the American Production and Inventory Control Society for 7 years and was President of the board from I99I-I992.
Janet worked in the IT department of Teledyne Water Pik for 20 years. She also worked for Oracle, Bearing Point, Diloitte, Navisite, Accenture, and Ciber as a Sr. Principal Consultant.
Janet loved to fish. She and her husband spent a lot of time fishing in Colorado and Alaska. She also liked to spend time with family and friends, playing cards, camping, traveling, and peaceful weekends at home.
Janet is remembered as a loving, kind, dedicated wife, aunt, sister, and daughter. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
A celebration of life will be held sometime this spring or early summer when it is safe for the people who shared in Janet's life can gather together.
