James G. Schroeder, 81, of Fort Collins, died January 18, 2013 at his home. Mr. Schroeder was born November 19, 1931 in Sterling, Illinois to Kenneth and Marguarite MacCleod Schroeder. James married Nancy Hambleton on February 22, 1952 in San Francisco, California. Mr. Schroeder graduated from Colorado A and M and got his masters at Duke University. He was a research scientist in wood utilization for the US Forest Service. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; son, Scott Schroeder of Wedgefield, South Carolina; daughters, Kayelle Bill Schultze of Loveland, Colorado and Karen Schroeder of Ashville, North Carolina; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
