James Romero, 58, of Fort Collins passed away on Nov. 11, 2008. He was born on Nov. 13, 1949. Known to friends as Jimmy, Boomba, or Fatman. He is survived by his wife, Mary; and their dog, Josh; brother, Ben Romero; and sisters, Mary, Margaret, Vera, Elsie, and Joann; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Claudia Romero; uncles, Abe Romero, Moses Gallegos, Manuel Moreno, Frank Gomez, Floyd Haugland; brother-in-law, Robert Boone; nephews; Arthur Tudy Martinez and Desmond Roybal; and best friend, Gordy Maxwell. When he was young, he loved building and racing cars. He also loved riding motorcycles and going to Sturgis. He was a member of the Colorado Cruisers Motorcycle Club in Fort Collins. He was a DJ and Bouncer at the "Library" night club for several years and worked in Landscaping. Jimmy lived life to the fullest. He loved his wife, family and friends and will be missed dearly by all. Funeral Services to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22nd, 2008, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. "Biker attire welcomed" Immediately following the funeral service, a celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion on Hwy 287 & Taft Hill Rd.
