James "Jimmy" Edward Linfield

March 14, 1963 — December 6, 2015

Listen to Obituary
James Edward Linfield (Jimmy) passed away peacefully at his home in Fort Collins, CO on Sunday, December 6, 2015.

He was born on March 14, 1963 in Boulder to Robert and Patricia Linfield.
Jim attended Fairview High School, Montana State University and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology.

Jim was the proud owner of Old Town Property Services; he started buying houses in the 1980's with the intent of fixing them up to sell, but instead found success in keeping them as rentals.
He touched so many lives, as a landlord, an employer, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend and a best friend to his dogs. He had a heart for those less fortunate, was a stranger to no one and helped many find a positive path in life.

He loved animals and raised many unique pets over the years. His favorite pastimes were spending time in nature with his dogs, installing awnings and exploring the Snowy Mountains with brother, Steve and the "Shade Brigade" and entertaining his friends and family with his always present dry sense of humor.

Jim is survived by his mother, Mary Joy Linfield of Boulder, CO; his brothers Bob Linfield, Jr (Marian), of Thornton, CO, Bill Linfield (Sherry) of Silverthorne, CO, Jim C.T. Linfield (Patience) of Boulder, CO, Dr. Tom Linfield (Ruth) of Helena, MT, Steve Linfield of Fort Collins, CO; his sisters, Dr. Jana Linfield (Lance Miller) of Anchorage, AK, Teri Olander (Lance) of Superior, CO, Susie Hardy (Joel) of Windsor, CO; 15 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews; his loving friend, Robin Debman and his "Min Pin" dogs Lexi, Luca and Bodie, who never left his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Linfield, Patricia A. Linfield, his sister, Katherine M. Fulkerson and brother, Michael Alan Linfield.

A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins on Friday, December 18 at 1:00 pm and Memorial Service on Monday, December 21 at 3:00 pm at St. Aidans Episcopal Church, 2425 Colorado Ave, Boulder.
