Listen to Obituary
James Nelson Dixon, having finished his earthly mission on May 2, 2005, has returned to his Heavenly Father and reunited with his eternal companion, Janice Ann Davison, who preceded him in 2002. He is the beloved father of Joseph James Dixon, Jeffery Michael Dixon, Jean Ann Bird and James William Dixon. Jim was sent from heaven November 21, 1934, to Joseph Victor Dixon and Amelia Louise Prueter, of Saginaw, Mich., and became a part of a special family with his sisters, Donna Mae Niver, Geraldine Elaine Colby and Barbara Lee Livingston. His elder brother, Eugene Dixon, along with his father and mother, went before to prepare a place for him. He was in the Air Force during the Korean War and retired from Kodak in building maintenance facilities. Jim started his family in 1958 and has watched it blossom to include four children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will continue to watch as his family grows through eternity. Jim and Jan brought their family from Saginaw, Mich., to Loveland in 1967. After raising their children they moved to Fort Collins in 1991 and retired there. A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Lynnwood Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Viewing will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery, next to his eternal companion.
