James (Jim) Bonner was born to Bea and Mirl on April 4, 1949. They soon moved to Laporte, Colorado and the family took in 3 foster brothers to join them. Jim and his siblings enjoyed living on the quiet property and playing on the Poudre River that runs along their land. Jim joined the US Army and served in Vietnam. After returning to the states he settled in Georgia for a time where he met his wife Mary and her three small children Cathy, Brian and Kelly. Soon after the whole family packed up and returned to the Colorado property he had enjoyed as a child. Here he raised the children, spent time with grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Jim loved to spend time in the mountains logging or exploring with his grandchildren. He spent his life on the property teaching and molding the young minds of the the generations after him. As he joins his parents and several siblings he is remembered by his wife Mary, three children and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the mountains Jim loved so in the spring to honor his life and love for adventure.
