James Paul Allen born November 27, 1941 in Long Beach, California to James Harris Allen and Elizabeth Louise Gibbs died suddenly at home on August 15, 2020.
Jim was the oldest of 5 siblings and grew up in Southern California. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School, Yuba College, and while in the Marine Corps was stationed at Camp Pendleton. Jim had a long and successful career in sales.
His life was filled love for his wife Marie (Nolan), devotion to his family, his Catholic faith, and the friends he made wherever he went. Jim was a very active member of the Elks and Past Exalted Ruler of the Annapolis Elks Lodge in Maryland, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion. Jim was passionate about giving back to his community and especially to veterans. He worked tirelessly in support of veterans programs. He also enjoyed being active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church as a reader and Eucharistic minister to the elderly. Jim was always the first to volunteer to help any friend, family member, or cause close his heart.
Jim is preceded in death by both his parents, sister Susan, brother Patrick, and wife Marie.
He is survived by his son, Jim (Clovia) Allen, sister, Michelle (Mike) Timm, brother Mike, step-son, Joe (Joan) Banfield, grandchildren, Chancey Allen, Danielle (Bruce Lamb) Banfield, Jacob Banfield, and Joshua Banfield, great-grandchildren Conor, Adeline, Patrick, Ansel, and Henry, and countless nieces and nephews.
