Irene Christensen

Irene Eva Christensen 94, formerly of Long Beach, Calif., quietly slipped away to rest in Jesus on June 12, 2008, in Fort Collins. Interment was in Green Hills Memorial Park, Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calif. Mrs. Christensen was born Sept. 22, 1913, in Gibbon, Neb., the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Reisdorff Giltz. She was a dental assistant for many years in Long Beach, Calif. for Dr. Sandy MacPherson. She was preceded in death by husbands, Jack Gatewood; and M. M. Christensen; and daughter, Dorothy Lee Dube. She is survived by Lawrence Giltz, brother, of Fort Collins, and several nieces and nephews and many friends. Irene had a loving and kind heart. She went gently and quietly through life wearing a warm smile. Irene was beautiful both inside and out. She will be missed by all who loved her. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Collinwood Assisted Living Community, 5055 S. Lemay.
