Ina Darlene Mason

Ina Darlene Mason, 77, of Wellington formerly of Fort Collins, died November 18, 2009 at home. Mrs. Mason was born June 5, 1932 in Kremmling, Colorado to Frederick Theodore and Violet Watson. Ina married Gordon Alfred Mason on April 24, 1967 in Elko, Nevada. Mrs. Mason was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in-law, and friend. Ina moved to the Fort Collins/Wellington area from Moffat and Routt Counties, Colorado in 1964. She was a past auxiliary president of the VFW, Post #1781, and enjoyed reading romance novels, bird watching, and game time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Ruth Albert Hooker of Wellington; sisters, Zelma Freberg and Leila Miller both of Nevada; grandchildren, Lisa Atencio, Charlotte Ernest Flores and Wendy Robert Warren; and six great-grandchildren, Craig, Star, Savannah, Marshall, Stormy, & Katie. Proceeding Ina in death are her parents, Frederick and Violet Watson; her first husband, Isaac Atencio, her second husband, Gordon Mason; and her son, Charles "Ike" Atencio A Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, on Monday at 1:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow Graveside Service at Wellington Community Church, 8445 3rd Street.
