Ignacio Munoz

Ignacio "Alex" Munoz, 61, of Nunn, Colorado, died February 22, 2012 at a local nursing home. Mr. Munoz was born September 12, 1950 in Abilene, Texas to Mariano and Catarina "Loza" Munoz. Alex married Roxanna L. Greer on February 22, 1975 in Fort Collins, Colorado. Mr. Munoz moved to Colorado at age 10 and has lived in Nunn for the past 18 years. Alex enjoyed listening to oldies, restoring old cars, cooking, imparting wisdom and he loved his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Roxanna; daughters, Fred and Katherina Peregoy and their children Alexsis, Melissa, Patience and Kiah of Ault, and Marjorie Munoz and her children, Kaleb, Stephen and Ignacio-Alonzo, and Vincent "Martinez" Finkerbinder of Nunn; adopted son, Justin Liz Finch and his family; brothers, Cruz L. Maria Munoz of Greeley, Julio Munoz of Fort Collins, Johnny Munoz of Fort Collins, Ray Munoz of Fort Collins; sisters, Lupe Recio of Greeley, Flora Cruz Cota of Tucson, Arizona, Carmen Uribe Munoz of Fort Collins, Ruth Munoz of Fort Collins, Olga Joseph Mondragon of Wellington , Rosa RobWeng of Colorado Springs; and numerous family members. Preceding Alex in death are his parents, Mariano and Catarina; and grandson, Stephen Eric Munoz, brothers, Mariano and Raymond. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mr. Munoz from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
