Hurban Lee O' Bolls passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Aspen House Memory Care Assisted Living in Loveland, Colorado. Hurban, 75, was born September 18, 1938, to Ada Mae and John Francis Bolls in Merkel, Texas. He and his sister, Frankie were raised in Santa Ana, California. Hurban married Kay Jean Tyler on May 20, 1956. They moved to Fort Collins with their children, Darla, Paula, and Morgan. He later married Karen G. Markham on July 1, 1978 and had two daughters, Lindsey and Shelby. Hurban was employed at Woodward Governor from May of 1961 until retirement 38 years later. Hurban was a hard worker and good provider for his family, which he loved dearly. His quiet demeanor and dry sense of humor kept people guessing. He had the rare combination of being frugal but generous. When asked how he was, his reply was always, "Perfect!", which invariably brought on a smile. In earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to travel. Hurban is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen; his sister, Frankie Umphenour; children Darla Ted Miller, Morgan Marty Bolls, Lindsey Damien Parrish, Shelby Chris Stanhope; and grandchildren, Brian Bolls, Brenda David Pastore, Caylee Parrish, and Isaac Stanhope; a niece, Rhonda Bland; nephew Michael Joy Bland; mother and father in law, Beverly and Kenneth Markham; and brother-in-law, Bruce Markham. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Edney; father, John Bolls; daughter, Paula Kalmi; and grandsons, Robert Bolls and Michael Miller. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Donations can be made in Hurban's name to Pathways Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
