With a heavy Heart and much love , Henry Lee Apodaca Jr has retired from his work on earth and has sought further prospects and freedom in heaven. Henry Lee Apodaca Jr Passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on Sunday May 24th 2024 at the age of 70. Henry passed away after a long day trip to Boulder with one of his daughters and 3 of his granddaughters. Henry returned home sleepy and laid his head to rest peacefully for the last time.
Henry truly Loved the outdoors and wildlife and has a deep personal love for the Poudre river.
Henry had a special innocence and kindness in his heart for children, making him everyone's favorite uncle and grandpa.
Henry was born May 28th 1953 in Richmond California to Audrey Mary Herera and Henry Lee Apodaca Sr.
Henry Proudly was a decorated Vietnam Navy Veteran that served 3 tours in Vietnam from 12/28/1971 - 3/6/1974. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents Audrey Mary Herera and Henry Lee Apodaca Sr.

He is survived by 4 sisters Ramona Apodaca (Sylvia),Julie Bowie (Cecilia), Lucille Royball and Audrey Apodaca ( Berenice)
4 Daughters 3 son in laws Angela Valdez , Jessie Delacruz (Gilberto), Valerie Sewnsen (Trevor) and Melissa Apodaca-Paul (Mike). 10 grandchildren Andres, Bibiana, Celeste, Soraya and Lydia (Jessie) Veronica and Jazzy (Angela), Chevy, Vanessa, and Bently (Valerie) one great Grandchild Genesis (Veronica).
He was well loved and known by his neighbors at Legacy Senior residence for feeding the birds and his daily strolls along the Poudre River.
We will all Hold Henry's memories close to our heart and let his Jokes and kindness he left in our hearts thrive with love and laughter.
Military Honors Ceremony will be Held at Grandview Cemetery at 11 am on Saturday April 13th followed by a celebration of life and potluck at Legacy Park from 12-4pm
