Helena R. Buttorff

SERVICE HAS BEEN CANCELLED Helena Lena Buttorff passed away August 16, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born April 27, 1919 in Coal Creek, Colorado. Her parents Anna and Louie Chiaro deceased moved to Fort Collins where Lena graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1938. She worked as a typist, and was known for her great typing speed. Her dreams of becoming a model, was never fulfilled. She married Earl Buttorff deceased and had two boys, Jerry Lee Buttorff deceased and James Earl Buttorff. Lena taught Children's Bible School for many years. She had a smile for everyone and never complained about her problems. She loved to bake pies and would always deliver one somewhere in the neighborhood. She had two sisters, Lucy McGuire and Betty Hotchkiss, both deceased. Surviving relatives are her niece, Diana Koenig of Poudre Canyon; and nephew, Kent Hotchkiss of Fort Collins. She was also loved by her great nieces and nephews, Scott Jackson, Julie Jackson Greenburg of Washington State, Lori Fahrenbruch Martin of Fort Collins and Larry Fahrenbruch of Denver.
