Helen Lowery

Helen Lowery, 90, of Fort Collins died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006 at Poudre Valley Hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1916 at her grandparents' home in Bellvue. Her parents were Ethel Millington and Oliver Gabriel. Helen attended the Stratton Park and Stove Prairie schools. Helen married Jake Lowery on July 20, 1932. They lived in Larimer County most of their married life and in the mountains most of the time. She had a happy personality and was loved dearly by her family. Surviving are her children, Fred of Fort Collins, Lou of Cortez and Jean Carlisle of Fort Collins; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Collins.
