Helen Charlotte Kennedy, 85, of Fort Collins, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 11, 2006, the result of a heart attack at her residence at Oakbrook Retirement Center.

She was born March 23, 1920, in Charleston, N.C., to Charles Ballou and Helen Valentine Ballou. She graduated from Florida Sate College in Tallahassee, Fla. She married Roy P. Kennedy on Dec. 14, 1946, in Denver. She was employed as a bookkeeper. Helen lived the last 20 years in Fort Collins and enjoyed golf, travel, flying, gardening.
BR Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her son, Timothy Roy Kennedy and wife, Sue; one daughter, Charlotte Anne Kennedy-Franklin and husband, Gerald; five grandchildren, John, Susannah, and Charlotte Franklin, Jennifer and Marie Kennedy and, two great-grandchildren, Lanaia Franklin and Jasmine Franklin-Busteed. BR In 1974, her husband preceded her in death.
BR A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 4501 S. Lemay Ave. Pastor Bruce Bergquist will officiate the service.
