Helen L. Borrego, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, July 7th, 2024 in her home in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born on September 10th, 1938 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Edward and Lucy Hernandez.
Helen is survived by her sons Alan, Eric Borrego, Ernie Borrego, and Donald Twomey; brothers Richard Hernandez and Danny Hernandez; sisters Dorothy Jiron, Kathy Maestas, Lois Chavez, and Virginia Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Lucy Hernandez, brothers Edward (Sonny), Jerome, George, Ronald, and Ruben Hernandez, and a sister, Delphina Hernandez.
Helen worked as a bartender and was loved by all who knew her. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services at St. Joseph Catholic Church on July 26th, 2024, 300 West Mountain Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521. Rosary at 9am, Funeral Mass to follow at 9:30am. Potluck reception from 11am to 2pm at Knights of Columbus, 121 Meldrum Street, Fort Collins, CO.
