Hazel Mae Owens passed away December 7, 2009 in Fort Collins. She was born December 1, 1917 in Humboldt, Kansas to Andrew and Orpha Ables. She married Charles Norman Morris at Chanute, Kansas. They had two children. Hazel later married James L. Owens. She was a housewife and a barber. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Hauser; sister, Jane Yergert and brother in law, Clarence of LaJunta, Colorado; brother, Bill Siefken and wife, Rita of Richland, Washington; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Norman Wayne Morris; first husband, Charles N. Morris, and second husband, James L. Owens; granddaughter, Donna L. Morris; sister, Ruth Larson; and two brothers, Earl Siefken and Gerhard Siefken, Jr. Cremation has been completed and final resting place is Grandview Cemetery. A Family Service will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
