Hazel Oppie

Hazel Eunice Oppie, 93, of Medford, Ore., died March 26, 2007, in her home with family and friends at her side. Hazel was born in Padroni on Dec. 1, 1913, to Calvin Brown and Gertie Perdue. Hazel married Glen D. Oppie on Jan. 4, 1928, in Sterling. Hazel and Glen were married for 61 1/2 years. Hazel was preceded in death by Glen; her son, Edwin; two brothers; and a sister. Hazel later married John St Clair, who also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Parsons of Ashland, Ore.; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters Eda Burbach of Ault and Isabelle Kimber of Fort Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Collins at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A graveside will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery in Denver.
