Harry Claude Spight of Fort Collins, passed away September 13, 2018.
Harry was born in Fort Collins Colorado August 25, 1932 to William and Emma Spight. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, his parents, and six brothers.
Harry grew up in Fort Collins and attended Fort Collins High School, class of 1950. He met and married Donna Bruce in 1952. In 1953 Harry enlisted in the Army, 537th Field Artillery Battalion at Camp Carson. After his discharge from the service, Harry returned to Fort Collins with his wife and two children where they later became a family of five with the birth of their third child.
Harry had a passion for cars, motor cycles, and his grandchildren. He loved following and attending the activies for his grandchildren. He also loved the open road and spent many miles exploring the country on his motorcycle. The Indianapolis 500 was an annual trip.
Harry is survived by his children; Steve (Kelley) Spight, Cindy (Dale) Stone, Doug (Lisa) Spight; grandchildren, John (Katie), Jordan (Molly), Jake (Andrea), Sara (Jose), Joe, Riley, Rachel; great grandchildren, Reese, Beau, Luke, Ava, Brooke; sister Shirley Glenn, many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Harry and Donna will be interred together at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Family services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made in Harry's name to the Salvation Army or the Cheyenne VA Medical Center through Bohlender Funeral Chapel 121 W Olive St. Fort Collins, CO 80524.
