Thomas Harry Bath, esteemed Fort Collins resident and proprietor of Bath Nursery and Garden Center, passed away on August 30, 2025, after a courageous struggle with leukemia. He was 84.
Growing up on a farm in Fort Morgan, CO, his passion blossomed to a love of horticulture. In 1965, with a pickup truck, a shovel, and a horticultural degree from Colorado State University, he established Bath Inc. Through his dedication to hard work and his love for plants, he built a thriving business that became a cornerstone of the Fort Collins community. Tom's passions outside business included geology, gardening, and several chihuahua's.
His interests always piqued, he was a voracious reader, never ceasing to learn and ever expanding his knowledge base. He employed thousands of people through his career, inspiring countless others and leaving a lasting legacy in Northern Colorado.
Tom was a devoted father to Spencer Bath and Sara Salzman and a proud grandfather to Salyx and Zander Bath, and Aishlin, Skye, and Caiden Salzman. His family and community will deeply miss his warmth, wisdom, and enduring commitment to the natural world and business.
Please join us at the memorial and life celebration for Tom, Friday Sept. 19th, from 5-8pm at Bath Nursery and Garden Center. Thank you.
