He is survived by children; Harold J. Glass Jeanne and three sons, Sean, Phil, and Chad in Aurora, Colo. Mary Evans Richard in Pueblo, Colo., and her son, Mark; and 2 grandchildren, Chelse and Chase in Monte Vista, Colo.; Roy Glass Linda of Fort Collins; Becky Brown Charlie of Fort Collins; their son, Patrick Veronica and 2 grandchildren in Pueblo, Colo. John Glass Shirleyand their three children, Brent, Mack and Willow; 8 grandchildren, in Alaska; Brenda Eberle Ray in Brighton, Colo.; her three children, Josh, Nick and Terra in Fort Collins and Loveland; Trudy Armstrong Tony and their three children, Amanda, Morgan and Justin; and 2 grandchildren in Fort Collins; Bob Stroh Bonnie and three children, 4 grandchildren in Denver; Tom Stroh Roxanne of Parker, Colo.; three children, and 2 grandchildren; Elizabeth Stroh and her son in Fort Collins; and Carol Recor in Washington State. Dad has 21 grand children and 19 great-grandchildren that he loved. Harold was born in Peckham, Okla., in 1922; he was one of 6 children born to Mary Fischer and John Glass. Dad's family moved to Newton, Kansas in 1927. Dad met Helen Valdez in Colorado and married her before he was drafted in the WWII against the Germans, at the age of 18. After he was deployed he came home to an 18 month old son, he and Helen went on to have 6 more kids together in Colorado. In 1967 he moved to Fort Collins as a single man, and worked for CSU until his retirement. Dad met Jeanette Stroh and fell in love, and they married in 1969. Together they had a family of 11 children, seven of his, four of hers. Dad passed away with respect, dignity and grace from a worn out heart. Because he was in our daily lives so much we have cherished memories with him fishing, camping and enjoying the things that meant most to him in his life. He loved to laugh, make friends, go to church and be with family. Dad had so many stories and adventures in his life that we had to start recording them with pictures, videos and finally a biography. Dad had a way of making life-long friends; people were drawn to him. He touched them in such a way that he was irresistible. He made every effort to stay in touch with friends and family. As much as his friends meant to him, he didn't realize what he gave back in return. He had many nick-names for us, and we knew him as "Papa, Buster, Jackson, and Grandpa". His newest adventure was the Skype camera on the computer. The last thing to say is "what a ride" dad. Viewing will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at Blessed John 23rd University Center, 1220 University Ave. Interment with Military Honors at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice for Harold Glass in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Co. 80524.
