Hannah Mai

Hannah Mai, 90, of Fort Collins, died September 20, 2011 at the Sterling House. Hannah was born August 10, 1921 in Fort Collins to Gottfried and Katherine Becker.
Hannah married Ruben A. Mai on June 7, 1945 in Fort Collins. Ruben passed away in 2009. Hannah was born in Fort Collins and raised in Timnath. She graduated from Timnath High School. She also attended and graduated from Barnes Business College. Hannah enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting and loved her family. She worked as a secretary for several insurance companies and then at CSU in the Plant Pathology Department, which she retired from in 1985. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 57 years. Survivors include her sons, Larry Renae Mai of Omaha, Nebraska and Donald Resa Mai of Loveland; daughter, Kathy Bob Koeller of Fort Collins; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Zachariah, Emilee, and Adam; sisters, Rachel Gene Smithey of Arvada, Alvina Paul Mai of Hays, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ruben, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Sterling House and Pathways Hospice. The Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Roselawn Cemetery. Followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Stuart St. Those who desire may view Hannah on Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
