Hal Garner died August 5, 2026. He was 79 years old.
His parents were Marlin K Garner and Lenice M. Soule.
Hal lived most of his life in Fort Collins, graduating from Fort Collins High School.
He was a military veteran and served in the US Navy aboard the aircraft carrier Valley Forge and then later with US Coast Guard on the cutter Jarvis. He then graduated from Colorado State University.
After retirement, Hal was able to learn and play bridge. He enjoyed playing with the group on Wednesdays. He also was active in the condo association where he lived.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dale A Garner, and sister-in-law Barbara Ann Garner. He is survived by one sister, one brother, one niece, one nephew and two grand nephews.
Hal loved his pet cats and would be honored by donations made to any organization supporting pets.
