He spent much of his career working for Montfort Meat Packing Company in Greeley, CO. Guillermo was preceded in death by his parents Abelino and Juana Rivas, Siblings Armando Rivas, Dolores Castilleja, Susan Aguilar, Eva Rivas and Nephews Ruben Alvarez, Tino Martinez, James Reimers.

He is survived by his siblings, Abelardo Rivas, of Fort Collins, CO, Alice Domland of Wellington CO, Abelino Rivas Jr of Greeley CO, Rosemary Parton of Valley View TX, Helen Rivas Martinez of Fort Collins CO, Ernie Rivas of Loveland CO, Daniel Rivas of Fort Collins CO, Diana Miller of Wellington CO, Raymond Rivas of Greeley CO, Adam Rivas of Gladwin MI and Numerous Nephews and Nieces.
