Grant Michael Noonan, 31, of Denver, died April 18, 2012 at his home. He was born November 8, 1980 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Jerry and Leanna "Zuber"
Noonan. Grant was joyfully married to Erin Elizabeth Suelmann on September 6, 2008 in St. Louis. Missouri. Grant enjoyed living and growing up in Fort Collins and graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1999. He attended and graduated from University of Colorado-Boulder in 2003 with a degree in Environmental Design. He gained recognition in a National Solar Design Competition while attending CU. He also attended and graduated from the University of Arizona with a professional degree in Architecture in 2008. During his senior year, he was awarded the RONALD R. GOURLEY AWARD for design excellence by exemplifying architectural values that respect the earth that also integrates positively with the environment. He then received a Master Degree in Architecture from
University of Colorado-Denver in 2010. Grant was employed by Kephart Architects in Denver at the time of his death. Grant was also a member of the American Institute of Architects. Grant was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed many activities; four-wheeling, hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and skateboarding. He was involved with the Northern Colorado Youth Hockey Association and played the sport all the way up through his senior year in high school. Grant was a connoisseur of beer and a home craft beer brewer. He loved the Arizona desert and the spirit of the southwestern culture. He
demonstrated his love for his family and friends every day. Grants' big personality, humorous ways and engaging smile left an impression on every one who knew him. His enthusiasm for life and adventure was a gift. He will be missed and held closely in our hearts forever. Survivors include his wife, Erin; his mother, Leanna Noonan and his step-father, Thomas Vnuk of Fort Collins, his father, Jerry Noonan of Superior, Wisconsin; sister, Shay Kevin McWain of Severance, Colorado and nieces, Ella and Hannah McWain;
maternal grandmother, Betty Zuber of Superior, Wisconsin and paternal grandmother, Germaine Noonan of Superior, Wisconsin. Preceding Grant in death are his grandfathers, Rocco Zuber and William Noonan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed John 23rd University Center, 1220 University Ave. in Fort Collins, Colorado on Wednesday, April 25th at 10:00 a.m. A reception will be held immediately afterwards, celebrating and sharing his life. Memorial contributions can be made to Humane Society of America or The Roy Drachman Institute at the University of Arizona-Tucson's College of Architecture in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
