Goldie H. Burk, 95, of Wellington, died May 9, 2007, at Wellington Assisted Living. Mrs. Burk was born March 10, 1912, in Flora, Ind., to Henry Franklin Taulman and Blanche Miller Burk. Goldie married William F. Burk on Feb. 19, 1927, in Lamar. They lived and farmed in the Lamar area until 1941 when they moved to and farmed in the Waverly area. They then to moved to Wellington in 1952. Goldie was involved with in the Wellington Senior Center, RSVP, and the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cookouts and spending time with her special friend, Jenny Ridnour. Mrs. Burk is survived by three sons, Jackie L. Burk of Mineral Wells, Texas; Ernest Lloyd Burk of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and Elden Burk of Wellington; three daughters, Doris Lockman of Wellington, Nancy Lorene Maxwell of Fort Collins, and Wanda Mae Nace of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two children, Elizabeth Marie Burk and William D. Burk and three brothers. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Cemetery, Wellington. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Pastor Rick Carlson will officiate at the service.
