Glenn S. Avery, 88, of Masonville died Aug. 16, 2007, at a Fort Collins nursing home. Mr. Avery was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Stockdale, Texas, to Sam C. Avery and Cecelia Hardcastle Avery. For 37 years, Glenn was a civil service employee at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, retiring in 1972 and moved to Colorado to be close to his son and family. After retirement, Glenn enjoyed woodworking and being with his family. Survivors include a son, David D. Avery and his wife, Mary, of Masonville; two grandchildren, Michelle L. Avery of Loveland and Matthew Avery; and partner, Tamara Youngs of Arvada. Preceded in death are his parents; two brothers, Ed and William; two sisters, Bernice and Lucille; and his dear wife of 65 years, Imogene Avery.
