Gladys F. Wilkins was born August 3, 1937 in Willard, CO to Orval and Sophia (Steffen) Wessel, the third of four children. She departed this world on July 8, 2017 at her home in Fort Collins, CO. Gladys married Walter Wilkins on July 16, 1955 and to this union two sons were born, Edward and Richard.
Gladys spent most of her adult life as a homemaker. She enjoyed crafting and made her living doing such. Gladys enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, knitting and a variety of other crafts. She loved camping and fishing. But the love of her life was her family. She was "Nammie" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gladys is survived by her husband, Walt; son, Ed (Julie) Wilkins of Wellington; granddaughters, Crystal (Richard) Rosner of Cheyenne, WY; Laurie (Joshua) Suppes of Fort Collins; Kandie (Jason)Clark of Pierce, CO; great grandchildren, Addysen, Breah, Braxton, Elaine, Loraine, Callie, and McKenna; and one sister, Shirley Nordholm.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Virgil and Gene; a son, Rick; and a grandson, Brandan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel with internment to follow at Grandview Cemetery. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
