Giovanni E. Gomez Lopez, 20, of Fort Collins CO passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Many of his close friends and family called him by his nickname Gio. He was born October 05, 2005 to his parents Juan Gomez and Estela Lopez.
After graduating Poudre High School, his passion for trucks led him to dream big of becoming a mechanic, with aspirations that reflected his boundless potential. Though his life took a different path sooner than expected, his impact remains profound.
Gio's love for soccer was matched only by his love for supporting his favorite team, never missing a game. Gio left a big mark on those who knew him, embodying kindness, compassion, and a generous spirit that inspired everyone to be their best selves. His devotion to family and friends shone brightly, making him an exceptional son, uncle, brother, and friend.
Gio is survived by his parents, Juan Gomez and Estela Lopez; his siblings Karen, Dulce, and Jonathan ;his brother-in-law Sergio, and his nephew Mateo.
To those who stood by Gio's side, offering love, care, and support, our family extends heartfelt gratitude, celebrating the positive impact you've had on our lives and the memory of our beloved Gio.

Muchos de sus amigos cercanos y familiares lo llamaron por su apodo Gio. Nació el 5 de octubre del 2005 por medio de sus padres Juan Gómez y Estela López.
Después de graduarse de Poudre High School, su pasión por las trocas lo llevó a soñar en grande para conventirse en mecánico, con aspiraciones que reflejaban su potencial ilimitado. Aunque su vida tomó un camino diferente antes de lo esperado, su impacto sigue siendo profundo.
El amor de Gio por el fútbol fue igualado solo por su amor de apoyar a su equipo favorito "America", sin perderse nunca un partido. Gio dejó una gran marca en aquellos que lo conocieron, encarnando amabilidad, compasión y un espíritu generoso que inspiró a todos a ser lo mejor de sí mismos. Su devoción a su familia y amigos brilló intensamente, convirtiéndolo en un gran hijo, tío, hermano y amigo.
A Gio le sobreviven sus padres, Juan Gómez y Estela López; sus hermanos Karen, Dulce y Jonathan; su cuñado Sergio y su sobrino Mateo.

The Rosary will be held at 5:00 pm with viewing from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
