Listen to Obituary
Geri Rene Thompson, 57, passed away on September 2, 2024, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Born on August 12,1967 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Larry and Evelyn (Rawlings) Thompson. Geri dedicated 33 years of her life to UC Health Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, where she was a respected Team Lead in the Admitting Department.

Known for her deep love for dogs, Geri was always in pursuit of the perfect canine companion for her family. Her son, Keegan, was the center of her universe, and she cherished every moment spent with him and her husband, Steve, family and friends. Geri celebrated life daily with her favorite iced mocha coffee from the Coffee Cart in Ft. Collins, a small yet significant ritual that brought joy to her everyday life.

Geri attended school in Ft. Collins and graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1985. She was married on June 24, 1995, to Stephen Michael Harris. The beaches in Florida called to her when she visited family in Sarasota. She loved the warmth of Hawaii, and she also loved to see the Elk and Moose in the Colorado mountains.

She is survived by her husband Steve and her son Keegan; sisters, Cherry (John Cathey); Tami (Doug Unsen); brother, Eric Thompson (Amanda); and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Geri's life will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her career, and the simple pleasures that brightened her days.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Geri's life at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Vineyard Church of the Rockies located at 1201 Riverside Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
