Geraldine K. "Jerry" Mihelich, 90, of Fort Collins, died November 14, 2009 at McKee Hospice. Jerry was born April 12, 1919 in Pueblo, Colorado to Anton and Mary Kolbezen. She married Anthony "Ginger" Mihelich on October 16, 1948 in Pueblo, Colorado. Ginger passed away June 8, 1998. Jerry and Ginger moved to the Fort Collins area in 1980 from Pueblo. She was a homemaker and retired state employee. Jerry graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Science from the College of Mt. St. Joseph on the Ohio, Cincinnati, Ohio on June 5, 1942. Jerry was an affiliate of the Marianists, and also a Eucharist Minister and Lector at St Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins. She loved to cross stitch, read, knit and garden. Survivors include her daughter, Trisha Tom Jones of Fort Collins; son, Don Becky Mihelich and one grandson, Michael all of Webster Grove, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Preceding Jerry in death are her parents, Anton and Mary Kolbezen; husband, Anthony "Ginger" Mihelich; son, Anthony Mihelich, Jr.; two brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed John 23rd University Center; on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m.in Pueblo at Roselawn Cemetery, 1706 Roselawn Road. A reception will immediately follow the Interment at St. Mary's Church, 217 East Mesa Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
