Georgianna Dietz

Georgianna Dietz was born on Feb. 22, 1913, in Russell, Kan., to George and Lydia Deines. Since she was born on George Washington's birthday, she was named after him and in honor of her father. She came to Fort Collins with her family in her teenage years and later married Paul R. Dietz in 1932. She was a homemaker who loved interior decorating and landscaping. She loved nature and being in the mountains. She is survived by four children, Don Dietz and his wife, Carole Bove, Gerri Ridnour and her husband, Wes, Shara Stills and her husband, Dave, and Cara Dietz. Georgianna has 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchild-ren. She is also survived by a sister, Frieda Karst. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; one grandson, Randy Thompson; and 13 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Larimer County, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
