George Henry Zorb, age 92, of Fort Collins, CO died of Alzheimer's Disease on November 17, 2023. He was a caring husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a dedicated businessman, coach, and helper to all.

George was born on May 10, 1931, in St. John, Washington to Julius and Octive Zorb. He was the youngest of 6 children. He had deep love and respect for his mother who raised the children by herself. George appreciated her cooking, a fact he told everyone throughout his life. He enjoyed his childhood with all of his brothers and sisters in the Palouse area of Washington State. He had so much fun playing on teams with his brother, Bob, one pitching and the other catching. After graduating from St. John High School, he attended Eastern Washington University.

In his 20's George made a huge move to the San Francisco Bay Area. He owned and operated George Zorb Chevron in Burlingame, CA for many years and later, owned and operated Sanders Automotive in Belmont, CA. He belonged to Burlingame Rotary Club and Sirs in Retirement. He was also an avid golfer and bowler.

After some years in the San Francisco Bay Area, George met and married his beloved wife of 60 years, Colleen Alice Tatham. Colleen watched over and took care of George during 10 years of their struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.

They had two children, George Robert, and Susan Alice. Dad was heavily involved in their sporting endeavors while they were growing up.

George Robert lives in San Carlos, CA with his wife, Kathryn Lee Zorb. They have two children, Daniel Robert, and Jessica Alice. While Papa did not coach these beloved grandchildren, he encouraged and supported all their activities, education, sports, and friends. They were always in his thoughts and his encouragement was boundless.

Susan Alice lives in Fort Collins, CO with her husband, Derek Larson.

George brought smiles and created friends in everything he did. He will be missed by many but never forgotten.

George will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA.
