George Menard

George Menard, age 38, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, after a heroic battle with cancer, leaving behind his loving wife, Deana; and 1-year-old daughter, Shyla. He was born July 13, 1969, to Gerald and Elsie Menard in Fort Collins. George graduated from Poudre High School. He worked the last 10 years as a communications data technician. He loved old cars, his Philadelphia Eagles and chocolate. His greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Shyla May, born July 22, 2006. He is survived by his mother, Elsie, of Fort Collins; five brothers, Terry Kathy Knall Menard, Joe Sarah Menard, Dave Alexia Smaller Menard, Dan Deb Menard, all of Colorado, Ted Sharon Menard of Nebraska; and soul mate friends, Cindy, Lee, Amanda and Owen Nichols. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; and brother, Dennis. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Please dress casual.
