George Llamas of Fort Collins, Colorado was born on October 22, 1955 in Wauseon, Ohio. He passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2024 at the age of 69.
George attended Poudre School District, and excelled in academics, wrestling and football; then he left school to enter the workforce. He self taught himself to be a machinist; he also worked for a Union Warehouse.
As an employee, George was a dedicated and reliable worker and would often go to work sick. As a youth, George said that our stepdad would wake him early in the morning to work in the beet fields, because he was a good worker.
George was personable and people would gravitate to him. During his elementary years, he sold newspapers to local Fort Collins businesses, who would only buy from him. George was also known for being a great dad with a big and generous heart, who would put others before himself; his self sacrificing nature extended to those in the community which needed a helping hand. George's greatest passions have been family, friends, hard work and the Denver Broncos.
George is preceded in death by his mother, Olivia (Moreno-Llamas) Gonzales and his father Juan Llamas.
He is survived by his sons Christopher George Llamas, James Llamas, Emmanuel Llamas and Victoria (Llamas) Flames, and brothers and sisters of John Llamas, Gilbert Llamas, Dahlia Llamas- Zamarron, Robert Llamas, Cynthia Llamas-Hernandez, David Anthony Gonzales, Sylvia Gonzales-Aguilera, Adrian Gonzales, several cousins, nephews and nieces, and grandkids.
