It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father George R. Duston Jr. He was greeted in Heaven by his wife, Deanna, son Robert, and numerous family members on August 19, 2021 with loved ones by his side.
He was born on May 15, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa where he lived most of his life there until moving to Loveland, Colorado in 1972 with his wife and four kids.
Mr. Duston proudly served in the US Army between March 1955 and October 1959. He then served in the Army Reserve between October 1959 and February 1963. Mr. Duston was a Master Mechanic, Over the Road Truck Driver, with his dream job being a Rancher. After his deserved retirement, one could find him in his garage working on several lawnmowers and vehicles.
Mr. & Mrs. Duston were known to be proud Foster Parents to over 200 children.
Mr. Duston is survived by his kids: Sybil of Fort Collins, CO; John Duston (Suzette)of Canon City, CO; and Mary (Clay) Hess of Aledo, IL.
His grandkids who he was very proud of are Cody (Maranda) Mallett-Colorado; Jennifer (Justin) Foster - Colorado; Richard Mallett - Colorado; John Duston Jr. (JoHannah)-Vermont; Christopher (Britney) Duston - Colorado; Caitlin Duston - Colorado; Sadie (Ian) - Colorado; Mahlon (Savannah) - Colorado; Haley (Billy) - Colorado; Susan - Colorado, Sarah (Tony) Ladd - Colorado, Ashley (Eli) McNall - Iowa; Kara (Greg) Jones- Illinois; and Casey Hess- Illinois.
Great grandchildren: Alexis (Kyle), Dustin, Dillon, Dalton, Quentin, Brody, Brooklyn, Carly, Brayden, Kenlee, Veda, Braelyhn, Cohen, Dawsyn, Kalei, Penelope, Theodore, Shyenne, Liam, Timber and Cody Jr., and two more expected in December.
Great-Great grandchildren: Gemma, Nolan, Braelynn, Kennedy, and one more expected in February.
He is also survived by his sister Debbie (Ron) Turtscher-Colorado; his little brother Jim Drenner-Oregon; Connie John - Iowa; Phyllis (Larry Harmon) - Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place with plans for a celebration of life at a later date .
